Seoul National Cemetery

On Friday, a couple of friends and I braved the intermittent rain and went to the Seoul National Cemetery by Dongjak Station.

Although the skies were gray and the weeping cherry blossoms were a little past their peak, I’m so glad I got to visit this beautiful and peaceful place while the trees were mostly still blooming. The cemetery overlooks the Han River and is the final resting place for the remains of 165,000 soldiers, police officers, and reserve forces who sacrificed themselves for their country.
