Today I forced myself to get out and do something adventurous despite my lack of companions. I decided to go check out the Seoul Iris Garden, which is right across the street from the Dobongsan subway station.
The park is lovely and peaceful, nestled between the Dobongsan and Suraksan mountains. It’s small, but has many winding paths throughout, as well as shady rest areas that would be great to bring a picnic to.
The actual irises were withered and sparse (was I too early or too late? I thought they bloomed here between May and June but clearly not May 22). However, there were many other flowers to admire. At the entrance, this sculpture greets visitors.
