I just realized that it’s been almost a month since we got back from Bhutan, and the only thing I’ve put on my blog was my February reading list. Meanwhile, photos and a few experiences have been building up.
First up: an awesome mint-chocolate cafe in Hongdae, Mint Heim, that I’ve been to twice in the last month!
This mint and chocolate fudge cake was delicious, not too sweet and just the right amount of mint flavor.

Domingos and I finally visited Guilty Pleasures in Itaewon, a restaurant that has been on our list for a while. He had a burger that he said rivaled Left Coast (our personal local favorite).
Whereas I strayed from my usual protein-filled brunch and splurged on the french toast with candied bacon. It was a sugar overload in the best way possible.
When my mom visited in early March, Domingos and I took her to Ciuri Ciuri (among many other favorite restaurants). This time, we got dessert, and even though the lighting doesn’t show these sweets to their best advantage, the tiramisu and mini cannolis were wonderful.
We also took Mom to Myeongdong Kyoja, which was a mistake on a Sunday afternoon. Luckily, the lines moved fairly quickly.
After eating their delicious kalguksu, we went to a cat cafe for a while. Even though it was a Sunday, there was only one other patron in the place, so we were able to enjoy all the cats there in peace and quiet. There were some real beauties.
