Lanterns at Jogyesa Temple

The Lotus Lantern Festival, held every year in honor of Buddha’s birthday, took place last weekend. Although we passed on the parade (we’ll try to go next year), we did stop by Jogyesa Temple to check out the lanterns hung there.

People crossing the street in front of the temple, presumably getting ready for the parade.

I loved the Monet-like effect of the lanterns reflected in the water next to this lotus.
