After taking the subway back to our hotel area, we grabbed a quick fried chicken dinner before our “Busan at Night” tour picked us up. It turned out that we were the only people on the tour, which was lovely! We drove to the Gwangalli Beach area and got on a “yacht” (not really) for a short tour around the harbor, which gave us great views of the Diamond Bridge, beautifully lit up. We were the only people on the boat as well, and even though it was chilly, it was a lovely, romantic experience. Continue reading “Busan: Night Tour”

This morning, we set off for Taktshang Monastery, better known to Westerners as “Tiger’s Nest.” It was a fabulous hike, not as hard as the one we did at Dochula Pass the other day, but still a challenge.

After a tasty breakfast in Ugyen’s kitchen, we left the farmhouse and spent a little time walking down the street of the small nearby town, enjoying some of the shop signs. We also stopped and bought some chocolate as I was all out (the horror!). As we started on the road to Paro, we stopped for some great photos of Haa Valley.

We left Punakha in the morning and drove to the Haa Valley via Thimphu. We went back over the Dochula Pass, where we had slightly better views of the distant Himalayan ranges.
