Bukchon Hanok Village

Last weekend, we decided to venture out to find good coffee beans for when our HHG finally arrived and Domingos’s Chemex coffeemaker could be put to use. (We love our Nespresso machine, and use it on weekday mornings, but Domingos likes using the Chemex on the weekends when he has time for the process.) One of the shops he found was near Anguk station, so I convinced him to take a stroll with me through the Bukchon Hanok Village first, a charming area of traditional houses and narrow alleys.

Then we did a little Christmas shopping on our way to the coffeeshop. One shop had gorgeous mother-of-pearl items like this vase:

Finally, we found Jeon’s Coffee.

Their menu was incredible. Here’s the front page of it (the back page was all single-origin coffees).

I ordered “The Touch of Master Artisan” and Domingos had the “Winter Blend,” which is the one we ended up buying beans for to take home with us. Both were excellent, and we look forward to returning soon.
