The green tea fields were gorgeous and absolutely worth the trip from Seoul. Bring good walking shoes if you go, as there are some steep steps and lots of climbing to reach the top of the hill. The green tea leaves fill the air with a fragrant scent, and the humidity seems to press in on you more and more the higher you climb.
The walk up to the base of the fields was lined with beautiful, tall metasequoias. At one point, I almost felt like I could have been back in Virginia with the lush forest and rolling hills around me.
Finally, we reached the green tea fields. There was a winding path up to the top of the hill, getting steeper as we went, with many stairs. It was crowded but not overly so, especially as we got higher, and there were also many photo ops along the way.
