We’ve tried a few new restaurants over the last week, so I thought I’d go ahead and lump them all into one post. First up, Jacoby’s Burgers in HBC. Jacoby’s makes ordering very easy, giving you a checklist to fill out for every aspect of your burger and sides as well. Domingos had the bruschetta burger. Yes, somewhere under that mound of bruschetta topping is a burger.
I had the onion fresco bacon burger. It was even more ridiculously overstuffed. I ended up just taking the onion rings off and then it was manageable.
Last Monday, I tried out a different Indian restaurant, Everest, with two of my girlfriends. It was tasty, but I still like Ganges at the opposite end of Itaewon better. Everest did have fabulous mango lassis, however.
Next up: not a restaurant, but I had an absolutely gorgeous gin & tonic at the British Embassy, where we were lucky enough to attend a garden party in celebration of the queen’s 90th birthday last week. It was a fun event and the combo from the 8th Army Band sounded fabulous providing the music.
Lastly, we finally tried a little hole-in-the-wall in HBC for lunch on Friday. It’s called Toast Monster, and we shared two giant grilled cheese concoctions on Texas toast. The first was a chicken pizzaiola and the other was a steak and potato mix with a really tasty sauce.
Good thing I’m keeping up with the Insanity regimen!
